We have decided to answer all the questions that we have been asked
multiple times...
Q. What will the weather be like?
A. It should be in the low to mid 70s during the day and high 40s to mid
50s at night.
Q. Do the rooms have hair dryers?
A. The rooms do not have hair dryers, irons, or ironing boards. We will be
bringing a few with us for people to borrow as long as they return them
promptly for others to use.
Q. What is on the breakfast menu?
A. The standard breakfast menu consists of eggs, bacon, sausage,
pancakes, cereal, toast, oatmeal, juice, and coffee. We added eggs
Benedict with cheddar cheese sauce to the menu for Sunday morning.
Q. Do they only have wine and beer or all types of alcoholic beverages?
A. They have many types of drinks, but not all. If there is something that
you would like added to the bar for the weekend please let us know so we
can add it to the list. Other than during the time of our wedding, the bar is
typically self-serve where your write down your room number and what
you had to drink on a tab. You are also welcome to buy beverages at the
store for consumption in your room or out by the pool.
Q. Is it a typical wedding ceremony followed by a reception with dancing?
A. Typical??? I guess you could say that. We are trying to keep things very
casual and relaxed. Our short ceremony (about 15 minutes) will be
outside by the pond at the inn, followed by appetizers and drinks, then
dinner in the restaurant and dancing in the large bar and lounge area. The
food is not standard reception food, it is restaurant quality. Hors d'oeuvres
of stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes, smoked salmon, Vermont cheese, and
crudité will be followed by a garden salad, your choice of entree with
starch and French string beans, and finished off with a specialty wedding
cake from Grandma Miller's Pies. There will be two different types of
cake.... a tier of dark chocolate cake with a light layer of imported Swiss
raspberry and a tier of lemon cake with a sweet and tart lemon curd filling.
The whole cake will be finished with Italian Meringue icing. If you have a
favorite song that you would like played at the reception, please let us
know!
Q. Is there cell phone reception?
A. In our experience cell phone reception is hard to come by when you
are at the inn. If there is anyone who may need to contact you please
make sure they have the toll free Landgrove Inn phone number...
800-669-8466. They shouldn't have a hard time since the inn is only open
to people in our party. Once you drive down the street your phone should
work just fine.
